For my money, New Orleans Suspects are the best new band to come out of the Crescent City over the past several years; A really great live group, especially in a smaller club setting....

Who would have guessed that 2 years after the Radiators called it quits that ol' Reggie would be the most successful ex-member, easily playing more frequently than all of his old bandmates combined?

I just keep dreaming of the potential hilarity of a duet with James Booker.

Well I think the Revivalists give them a run for the money. Bass players always get the gigs maaaan. Reggie was the one guy (and Camille to a lesser extent) who used to go out there, you would see that cat at shows and stuff and he is always easy to talk to, in fact one of the most accessible people I've ever met and I have talked to him many times. So he probably the most out of the Radiators creel than most of them. Never saw much of any of them jamming round town much..... He was telling me about his and George Porter jr's contest at Jazzfest in 2010 where they both were trying to see who could play the most shows during fest among all musicians (With, of course Stanton Moore in the running as well...), both of them bass players leading the pack.....

please bring this band to Jazz Fest....Dave Rawlings Machine.......thank you...

                    going to California....

On November 20th, the Dave Rawlings Machine kicked off its seven-date tour with “Will the Circle be Unbroken” and ended with “The Weight.” They were appropriate bookends for a tour that looks overwhelmingly to be about the pleasure of American song and music making. Yeah that would be something. Wasn't he at Fest a couple of years ago with Gillian Welch? I love that guy, he is the most sensitive guitar player I ever saw....

And everyone needs to find the Bob Dylan Like A Rolling Stone video. Easily the best video ever.... http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...56988011,d.cGU
